Beautiful. The b/w is absolutely perfect for this picture.
Although I think the wide landscape would show even better, in a wider format. Everything is almost centered in this photo, possibly on purpose: the person and the horizon. I would cut 2 cm off the top and add 6 or 7 centimenter to the right to show the loneliness and the wide view of the sea and beach. But then, this is just my personal preference. :o)

for me centred composition is just perfect here. feels the photo is about him, he is the centre of everything, he rules all and nothing at the same time

thanks for all the comments. regarding the format, i prefer the square format for this shot and as emma pointed out the man is the main subject.
